Striker Marcus Rashford is going through a difficult period in his career when his confidence on the pitch is running low.

This season, Rashford is absent in the early stages because of shoulder surgery. He played 17 matches in the Premier League 2021/22, including 7 starting matches, but only scored 2 goals and had one assist. Because of disappointing performance, Rashford lost his starting position to Edinson Cavani under coach Ralf Rangnick.

However, the British press recently published a lot of very positive information regarding Rashford. In order to save his career at Old Trafford , the striker is said to be putting more effort into the team’s training sessions.

The Telegraph revealed that Rashford is training 12 hours a day at the club, divided into 3 sessions: morning, afternoon and evening. In addition, the English striker is also consulting his senior Cristiano Ronaldo about how the Portuguese superstar trained his muscles at the age of 24 at MU, in order to improve his own situation.

Meanwhile, the DailyMail believes that Rashford is in a dilemma as he prepares to negotiate a new contract with MU. Poor play can cause the 24-year-old striker not to be extended by the MU leadership. The binding validity between Rashford and the Manchester team is still 18 months away.

Also related to asking for advice from Ronaldo, former MU striker Dimitar Berbatov recently gave Rashford the same advice, that he needs advice from a senior like Ronaldo to regain motivation. “For Rashford, the most important thing is that the coaches and teammates give him little motivation like that. MU has some incredible players. Rashford should talk to Ronaldo and ask CR7 for advice.” Berbatov shared with The Sun.

“I used to not talk to any of my teammates when I had a problem. I was quite reserved and shy. That was my mistake. Rashford should meet an icon of world football like Ronaldo. I’m sure Ronaldo will spend time with teammates and give wise advice,” he continued.

In addition, Berbatov advised Rashford “not to be concerned with criticism”, “not to rush and complicate things”. The Bulgarian legend affirmed that Rashford is a great player, great talent of England.
