Receiving a 1-3 defeat against Real Madrid in the first leg quarter-final at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will have to work hard in the second leg tomorrow morning (April 13, Vietnam time). The challenge is great, but it does not mean that the Blues run out of opportunities, especially when the away goal rule has been abolished.
Ahead of the encounter at the Bernabeu, former striker Darren Bent had comments on talkSPORT: “Chelsea go into the rematch against Real Madrid with confidence after a devastating victory over Southampton [won 6-0] I know they can do miracles at the Bernabeu.
I think Chelsea will score against Real Madrid . In the first leg, I also have a feeling that Real will score a goal. And Karim Benzema scored two great goals, the last of which was just a keeper’s mistake.
When you look at the chances Chelsea missed at Stamford Bridge, that gives them confidence if they can create the same number of chances at the Bernabeu. I think they had a chance to take advantage. But Chelsea should also prevent Real Madrid from scoring, the task will be very difficult.”
The match between Real Madrid and Chelsea will take place at 02:00 on April 13 (Vietnam time).
