Marquette defeats Grambling State to start the season 3-0. MUTV Assistant Sports Director Chris Gaulke reports from the Bradley center on the tough Golden Eagle defense against the Tigers. Buzz Williams said one specific player will have to do one thing for the Golden Eagles to succeed.

The Golden Eagles moved to 2-0 thanks to Lazar Hayward’s career-high 28 points. Dwight Buycks started at point guard, but there is much more to this Marquette offense than one starting point guard.

After last night’s game, I had the pleasure of meeting the newest Marquette Golden Eagle, Vander Blue. Great, genuine kid who was excited to be at the game. He took time to interview with me, and talked about the signging process, his relationship with Buzz Williams, and the schools he turned down in favor of Marquette.

The Golden Eagles handily won their exhibition opener Saturday afternoon, with eleven of twelve healthy players scoring. They defeated MSOE, 106-47. Lazar Hayward paced all scorers with 24 points on 8 of 10 shooting.

Men’s Soccer Drops BIG EAST Tournament Game

The Marquette Men’s Soccer team dropped their first ever BIG EAST Tournament game Thursday night. USF took down the Golden Eagles in Tampa, FL, and MUTV Sports Director Brad Galli talked with Senior goalie Matt Pyzdrowski after his final match in an MU uniform.

MU Women’s Soccer Wins BIG EAST Quarterfinals

The Golden Eagles’ women’s soccer team captured the BIG EAST American Division title and took down Villanova in their quest for a BIG EAST Conference crown. Senior defender Ally McBride discussed the win with MUTVSports reporter Donnie Dwyer, who has the story from Valley Fields.
