MU Women’s Soccer: BIG EAST American Division Champs and Looking Towards Playoffs

For only the second time in school history, a Golden Eagles team has captured a BIG EAST title. But with the girls of the Nationally 12th ranked Marquette soccer team, a regular season championship is something to build on…not dwell on. So they’ll take to the pitch Sunday for their BIG EAST quarterfinal match vs. Villanova in hopes of capturing an even greater honor: a BIG EAST Conference title.
Head Coach Markus Roeders, Katie Miller, and Rosie Malone-Povolny stopped by the MUTV studios to chat with Sports Director Brad Galli about the division championship and the quarterfinal bout on Sunday.



BIG EAST Cross Country Championships Set for Saturday

Marquette will host the Cross Country Conference championships for the first time since 1996 on Saturday. Head Coach Mike Nelson and top runner Jayne Grebinski joined Brad Galli in studio to preview the big day.


BIG EAST Media Day: Lazar Gets Honored

Lazar Hayward received quite the honor Wednesday, garnering plenty of votes to be named to the Pre-Season All-BIG EAST 1st Team. Marquette was picked 12th by the coaches in the preseason polls.

Shymansky Gets First BIG EAST Win

The Marquette women’s volleyball team earned its first BIG EAST Conference victory Sunday afternoon as they defeated Rutgers 3-0 at the Al McGuire Center. MUTV Assistant Sports Director Chris Gaulke talked with Coach Shymansky and Ashley Beyer after the game.
